FEELING OKAY

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10 today!!

Yesterday Delight came to work not feeling well at all. She just came to pull some reports for examiners. She went home before lunch.

This morning she came to work feeling a whole lot better. She looks really good and rested. Even though she said she was up at 2:00 am. She said the pain medicine wears off about that time. She got up and took a bath and took some more medicine.
Another problem she is having is with her mouth. She has blisters on her tongue and a lot of spicy things that she eats bothers her. She is really being careful about what she is eating.

Delight wanted me to thank Lisa and Cindy for the meals that they brought Friday and yesterday. They tasted really good to her.

SHE'S FEELING GOOD!!!

Delight came to work today!!!! I was excited to see that she felt well enough to come to work the day after she had her chemo!!!

Cindy took her to Texarkana this morning to get her shot. So when they got back into town she thought she would just come to work. The examiners had some questions that they needed her to answer.

She said that this may be one of those times when the chemo doesn't make her sick. I hope that is the case.

CHEMO DAY

Terry Joe took Delight for her chemo treatment today. She looked really good this morning. I ran out to her house and talked to her for a little while before they left. She said that she felt good.

Yesterday she had another good long day at work. She left around 2:30 because she had a couple of extra helpers staying with her. They are such busy little kids. They are so cute. Bracee had her hair french braided and Blayd was just smiling and talking.

Tuesday afternoon she went to Paris with her sister Darlene. Their sister Debbie was in the hospital at Paris. They have now moved her to the hospital in Dallas. Hopefully they will find out what is the matter with her.

Delight has had a very busy week. It doesn't seem like she has slowed down any. She just keeps on going and going and going.

GOING STRONG!!!!

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10.

Delight has been working today and yesterday like she isn't really sick. Maybe she isn't!!!! She has been able to stay all day the past 2 days.

Friday she had a good visit with her friends from Foreman. They enjoyed themselves by the pool.

She didn't feel good on Saturday. She stayed in the bed most of the day. Sunday she rested, too, because she knew that she wanted to be able to come to work the first part of this week. We have bank examiners this week and she knew that they would be covering her job and she wanted to be here to go over any questions that they might have.

Thursday she will be taking her treatment. Terry Joe is going to be taking her.

SEEING OLD FRIENDS

DELIGHT-O-METER is barely holding on to a 10. I almost gave her a 9 1/2. She looks good today but she feels really tired. She came to work fairly early today because she was trying to finish a book up for the examiners. She needed to leave work at noon because she was going to meet up with some girls that she went to high school with in Foreman. She said that around this time every year they all try and get together. We went to lunch and she was going to go home and take a nap before she went to Foreman. I hope she felt strong enough to go because she was really looking forward to seeing her high school friends. I think that's all the plans she had for the weekend. Maybe she will be able to rest up for her chemo on Thursday!!

SCAN RESULTS

Delight called and said that the doctor wants to do at least 3 more rounds of chemo. He will check her again after that to see what kind of improvement has been made. Her marker count is at 33. Last time the marker count was 32. The lowest it has been this time is 30. Her scans showed a slight improvement.

She sounded okay with having to do more treatments. I'm sure that she was hoping for a break but maybe she will be able to after the next 3. The next one will be next Thursday.

They were going to head towards Idabel after one more stop.

TEST RESULTS TOMORROW

DELIGHT-O-METER is still at a 10 today.

She didn't come to work until after lunch today. She said that she was just getting around slowly this morning. She said that it was our (Tonya & I) fault. We went to go check on our friends at the Paris hospital, Harvey & Mary Ann Harmon. She thinks that we kept her out to late. Okay let me tell you we had her back in Idabel at 7:40 last night. She had enough time to rest. Don't point the finger our way.

Delight will be going to see her doctor tomorrow to get the results of her tests. Terry Joe will be taking her to Texarkana. When I hear some results I'll post.
