Terry Joe and Delight went to see the doctor yesterday and got some disappointing news. Her marker count was back up to 37. There was no improvement in any of the tests. Her CT scan of the abdomen & pelvis showed no change. The liver, spleen, pancreas and adrenal glands are unchanged. Her CT scan of the chest showed an increase in volume of small pericardial effusion in about 3 different places.
She will not be taking any chemo treatments for the next 3 months. Delight and the doctor both agreed that she needed a break from the chemo. This will give her body a chance to build back up. But she will be taking a treatment once a month to build up her bones.
Delight is really disappointed in the news she received yesterday. Please remember to pray for her. It's very important that we all encourage her. She needs us.

Mom, although you did not get the results we were hoping for, please know that God is watching over you and his hands are still upon you. I think that we should look at this break as just that, a break. It is a time for your body to strengthen and renew. The Lord knows how much we can handle and right now your body needs time. This maybe a holiday season blessing in disguise.
Your strength and faith are overwhelming, and with or without cancer you are the woman that I strive to be like everyday. The Lord recognizes you faith and love for him and he will continue bless you as you are a blessing to us.

I am so sorry for the disappointing news. We all knew it was going to be a battle and maybe this is just your chance to regroup and rest up for the next phase. I know that you are a fighter and you will continue to fight with the help of your God, your family & your friends. My arms are hugging you and I am on my knees praying for you and Terry Joe.
