ROUGH WEEKEND

Delight had a really rough weekend. She was unable to sleep Friday or Saturday night due to her legs bothering her. Sunday night she found a sleeping pill and took it. Since she stayed in the bed the majority of the weekend she was unable to enjoy her company. She really was disappointed that she didn't feel better. The Neurontin (pain medicine for her legs)that she is taking doesn't seem to be working.

Tonya and I went out at lunch to take her a sandwich. She was watching TV laying in the recliner. She did eat her delicious pimento cheese sandwich!! We ask her if the only thing hurting was her legs and she said yes. She has a call into the doctor to see if he can give her something else for the pain in her legs. I just called and talked with her and she had to call back to the doctor's office because they hadn't returned her call. She told her problem to the chemo girl and she was going to get with the doctor and get back with her. Hopefully, they will be getting back with her soon.

Thursday morning is her CT Scan & MRI. They should be able to tell from the CT Scan if they are giving her the proper treatment and how much longer she will have to be taking treatment. She wasn't for sure about the MRI. She did say last time she had one it showed exactly where the cancer was on her hip. She wasn't sure what they were going to be looking for this time with the MRI.

Say a couple of extra prayers for Delight today please.

ANOTHER CHEMO TREATMENT DOWN

Delight called to tell me how she made it yesterday. The treatment went really well. She said that she feels a little tired today. Last night she didn't sleep. Her hands and feet were bothering her. She said that the tingling that she has felt in her hands and feet has moved into her arms. She has some medicine that she is going to start taking to help relieve some of that pain.

She had just taken her shot when she called and is now on her way back to Idabel. She decided not to come to work today. She is going home to rest. She wants to feel good for her company this weekend.

GEARING UP FOR CHEMO

Delight decided she would take it easy this morning and not come to work. When we talked on the phone she had just warmed Blayd some waffles. She had been watching tv, too. She was going to pick Terry Joe up at about 12:00 and go on to Texarkana. The treatment will last around 1 1/2 hours and she said she would call me when she got done.

She is looking forward to seeing Blu, Jennifer & Kaylee this weekend. The weather has been so beautiful that they hope to be able to play outside with the kids.

I will post this afternoon again if I hear from her before I go home.

WAKE UP CALL

DELIGHT-O-METER is still holding on to a 10.

After I called and woke her up this morning around 7:30 I didn't know for sure how she would be feeling coming to work so early facing a bunch of computer problems. The little storm we had last night had caused our electricity to go off. Anyway, it wasn't long before she had the problems resolved.

Terry Joe will be taking Delight for her chemo treatment tomorrow. Tonya will be taking her early Friday morning for her shot. She told Tonya she needed to be back to work before 10:00 on Friday. Tonya said she could make a fast trip. Tonya you can't go to IHOP. (sorry) Please stay off the road Friday morning if at all possible, Tonya is on a mission.

Delight is feeling and looking good another day!!!!!Keep it up Delight!!!

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT

DELIGHT-O-METER is rocking on this morning at a 10. Delight is looking and feeling good this morning.

Since Delight has been taking radiation & chemo she has been trying to park as close to the side door of the bank as she can. She has been coming in later and at times there's not a parking spot. Even though employees have been told not to park in these certain parking spots some don't always think that they have to abide by the rules. Last week Delight came in the front door and Tonya ask why she came in that door? She said that there were no parking spots. This made Tonya so upset that people weren't being considerate of Delight. She found a catalog that had street signs. She went and showed them to Brian and ask if she could get one and have it put up for Delight. He just laughed and said yes. So...you can see Delight standing by her new sign. I think she likes it. MAYBE she will have a parking spot when she gets here now.

DOCTOR REPORT

DELIGHT-O-METER is 10!! Delight felt really good all weekend. She watched Terry Joe play in the golf tournament both Saturday and Sunday.

Dr. Trane released Delight and she doesn't have to go back to him anymore.

Dr. Engstrom said that her white blood count was normal. Her marker count was down from: August 2006 the marker count was 17. January 2007 the marker count was 54. April 2007 the marker count was 33. The count is down 40%, which is very good.

She will be taking chemo & avastin this week. She will be taking it once every 3 weeks. Treatment time will be about 1 1/2 hours. Delight did ask the doctor if he knew about how many treatments she would have to take? He said at this point he has no idea.

She has a CT scan scheduled for May 3. She is waiting on them to schedule a MRI around the same time also.

A SCARY NIGHT

Delight called early this morning to tell me that they spent most of the night in the emergency room. Blayd got a piece of chicken lodged in his throat. They worked and worked and could not get it to go down or come up. When they got him to the hospital they x-rayed him to find the piece of meat lodged at the entrance to the stomach just at the end of the esophagus. She said that it was extremely difficult for him to breathe because he was constantly gagging. The hospital decided to air lift him out to the Children's Hospital in OKC. The first helicopter that got here was to small for Cydne to ride with him. They decided that they just could not let him go alone. So they called for a bigger helicopter. It was coming out of Greenville. It was on its way when a red light came on and it had to go back. Finally, they got another one out of Tulsa. It was on its way when Cydne noticed Blayd breathing a little easier. She asked if he could be x-rayed again. They said yes if you could get him to drink some more barium. After a while, Cydne finally got it down him. The x-ray showed that the chicken was gone. What a great miracle! The medical staff on the first helicopter had stayed the whole time because they knew how to handle the problem, since the hospital staff was not equipped. About 1:00 or 2:00am they admitted him to the hospital for the night. Delight said she was able to get a little rest but was up bright and early this morning. She will not be coming to work today. Bracee spent the night with her last night.

Terry Joe and Delight will be leaving around noon today. She said that if she got out of the doctors offices earlier enough she would call.

Keep the Eidson's in your prayers. Pray an extra prayer for them today.

Update on Blayd from Uncle Walter: He went out to the hospital at 9:00 and they we getting ready to dismiss him. He said he looked really good and was acting like he felt fine.

EARLY BIRD

I wonder if she found the worm this morning? Delight made it to work this morning before 8:00am. I was in shock!!! I'm always glad to see her smiling face when she gets to the top of the stairs.

DELIGHT-O-METER is still holding tight to the 10. She looks good and is running around here like the place is on fire!! The energizer bunny is on the loose. Everybody better look out!

Just wanted to report Tonya's granddaughter arrived into the world at about 6:32pm. Josie Brooke 7lbs 1oz and was 20in long. She also came with a head full of black hair!! Jamie and little Josie are doing well. Tonya said that she looks just like Brock but she said the other side of the family said she looks like Jaden who looks just like Jamie. Anyway, whoever she looks like she is bound to be beautiful!! I can't wait to check out the new little chick!!

SNORING???

DELIGHT-O-METER is holding steady with a 10.

She looks good and is feeling good. She slept in this morning until about 9:15. She had a restless night due to a very tired, snoring husband. How many can relate to that cause? Do we have an extra house to send all snoring husbands?

Delight does not have any treatments this week. She will be seeing the doctors on Friday. Drs. Trane & Engstrom. Also, she will have blood work on Friday. Terry Joe will be going with her.

We are still waiting on a call from Tonya about her new grandbaby. This will be the 3rd granddaughter born to one of our employees in the last 3 weeks!!!!

ANOTHER GOOD DAY!!!!!!!!

DELIGHT-O-METER is a 10!!!!!!!!

She said that she rested really good last night but this morning her legs were hurting. She did not take any pain medicine yesterday. She decided she had better take some today so the hurting in her legs would go away.

We ate lunch at PaPa's today. Tomorrow Tonya is going to get a new granddaughter. So we had to celebrate today!!! Delight was able to eat Mexican food without it hurting her mouth.

The twins came to visit their MIMI. They were excited to see the pictures of the fish that they caught Saturday. Really I think they were more excited to see the pictures of the worms that they had to fish with. I asked Bracee who caught the biggest fish? She informed me that Blayd did. Of course he was telling me he did catch the biggest fish. They are so cute. Delight will be posting a couple of pictures of them shortly.

GOOD WEEKEND

DELIGHT-O-METER is flying high again today with another 10!!!!

Delight had another busy weekend. The grand kids kept her busy all weekend performing & entertaining for her. A birthday dinner for Reesha at the Country Club Saturday night was her excitement for the weekend!! She also went to church on Sunday.

I asked her this morning if she had felt bad at all?? She said the only thing was her mouth and legs hurting a little. But not bad she said. She looks really good today.

Sorry I'm so late in posting today. I've had a lot of things going on. I think Delight has been working pretty hard, too. It's Monday. Maybe it will be better tomorrow.

DELIGHT-O-METER is a 10 again today!!! I never get tired of saying that she is a 10. She looks good and feels good except she is a little tired today. It wasn't because she stayed out to long shopping yesterday either. (we only made a couple of stops)

I had quite the experience going with Delight. As the reporter I wanted to get the first hand knowledge of this treatment experience I had been reporting about. It was very interesting. I enjoyed getting to see how everything worked. I wanted to share her taking her treatment with everyone. I just happened to have my camera in my purse. (reporters always carry a camera) Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Delight just lights up a room. The nurses are very nice and fun. One of them had quite an interesting fight song for the Arkansas Razorbacks! I would love to get a copy for my Razorback loving friends.

The other patients that were taking chemo were very nice. We were all taking to each other. One lady in particular was asking Delight a lot of questions about losing her hair. This was her first treatment and she was dreading losing her hair. I really felt sorry for her. Delight seems to handle it so well. Her husband was so kind to her saying that she would be beautiful with or without hair.

ENERGIZER BUNNY STRIKES AGAIN

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10 today. She is running around the bank like a chicken with its head cut off. The ENERGIZER DELIGHT.

She is looking and feeling really good again today. I told her that I was going to have to get the camera out to take her picture. She looks so good. She woke up only once last night and before she could get up to take her pain medicine she went back to sleep. But she woke up at 5:00am to take her medicine and eat a bite of food. She looks really rested today. She is ready for her treatment.

FEELING BETTER

DELIGHT-O-METER has gone back up to a 10.

She slept better last night!!! She is still having to take pain pills pretty regular for her legs and feet. She looks wonderful and is feeling really well today.

She told me that she had posted some pictures and it reminded me that I hadn't even posted my comments today. I asked her if I still needed to post and she said yes because she couldn't be trusted in making the right judgement on whether or not she looked good. I had another SENIOR moment.....I forgot I had told her she couldn't be deciding that!!! Let me assure you Jennifer, she looks WONDERFUL.

I will be taking her tomorrow for her treament. YES!! She will just be taking the avastin tomorrow. She does not have to take her chemo for a couple more weeks.

We had about 30 people and I loved every minute of it. We just needed Blu, Jennifer & Kaylee but I know they had a good time at Six Flags.

LOOKING GOOD

DELIGHT-O-METER is staying at a 9.

Her legs and feet are still hurting her pretty bad. She is taking some pain pills to help ease the pain. She was able to sleep until about 3:30am. Then she got into the recliner and watched tv. About 7:00am she took a shower and was getting ready for work. But about 8:00 she got sleepy and laid back down and did not wake up until 9:30. She was able to come to work after that but that medicine is making her really sleepy. I offered to bring her a pillow and blanket but she declined the offer. She said she would get a pillow from down stairs. She said if her light was turned off and the door was closed please DO NOT DISTURB HER.

Despite her legs & feet hurting she looks really GOOD today!! She gets a 10 on her looks!!!!!!!!

LEGS & FEET ACHE

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 9 today.

Her legs and feet are hurting her really bad. The bottom of her feet are really red. They told her to keep lotion on them so they would not form blisters on the bottom of her feet. She is walking around with her house shoes on. She said that they feel good because of the cushion in them.

She does look like a 10 today!!

She felt like going out to eat lunch today. We enjoyed our meal at MR PIGS.

The twins have been in to see their MIMI. They are so cute. They have been entertaining us with all kinds of stories. Bracee has on shoes that the Easter Bunny brought her. (plastic heels) She also has a purse full of items he brought her. Blayd has on his John Deere boots and he could not remember what the Easter Bunny brought him. They told me that they had a big Easter Egg hunt at MIMI & PAPA'S house. With lots and lots of kids running around everywhere. They are excited about getting to go to school in the fall. They are sure BUSY.

SHOPPING AGAIN TODAY!!!

Delight just called to let me know that she was feeling great!! She had already taken her shot so she and Tonya were out and about buying several things that the bank needed. Tonya came out of Home Depot with a basket full of stuff. Delight said I hope we can haul all of it. Delight (being the professional packer she is) was going to help her get it into the car. The INB car holds more than any size SUV can.... when Delight is in charge of the packing!!

The only thing that is bothering her (just a little) are the bottoms of her feet & hands. She said her feet feel like she is walking on sand or they feel like they are peeling.

She was so excited that she feels good. She repeated several times how good she felt. She said she got up at 6:30 and took her shower and put her makeup on and was waiting for Tonya when she got to the house. She keeps saying, "Do you think they are really giving me chemo?" The only proof that she has is her hair has come out.

3rd Treatment Down!!!!!!!

Delight was able to take chemo today!!! Her white blood count had gone up to 1600.
She was feeling good when she called. She was waiting on Johnice to come and pick her up when she called. (Johnice had to make a quick trip to JC Penney's. She probably needed a pair of shoes!!! She doesn't own any shoes!)

Tonya is going to take Delight to Texarkana in the morning. She has to take the Neulastia shot. The shot helps build up her white blood count.

She sounded really great!!!

LOOKING GOOD

Delight slept in this morning. I gave her until 10:00 to get here. She had not made it so called her and woke her up!!!! She said what time is it? I said 10:00 and she could not believe that it was that late. She said she better get up so she could meet us for lunch!!! We changed our Thursday luncheon time to Wednesday so Delight would still be able to come and eat with our weekly Country Club group luncheon. We thought we would be safe out at the Country Club since not to many people eat out there at 11:00. We are trying to make sure she is not around any sickness. That is why she is still in the INB jail. We want her to be able to take her chemo tomorrow. Johnice is going to take her for her treatment tomorrow. She is going to be taking the 300 dosage this week instead of the 100 dosage that she has been taking. She will be taking the 300 dosage once every 3 weeks now.

DELIGHT-O-METER is looking good at another 10. She is having another day of feeling really well. I think she is the best looking woman in jail!! I have always thought that Brittney Spears was a pretty girl but Delight has her beat a bunch as a bald headed woman!!!!!

DELIGHT LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL IN JAIL

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10. Even when she is in jail!! We did let her out for a little while to eat lunch today. We are trying to figure out a way to get her some food without having to open her door. Maybe Brian will let us get her a doggie door!!

She looks really good today. She said that most of her hair has come out. She has the cutiest little scarf on today. Blu's mother got it for her the first time that she had chemo.

She said that she feels good. She is just going strong!!

Tammy stopped bye to visit and we had to screen her to make sure she was not sick. She also had to go and wash her hands before she was allowed to visit. We were outside her jail cell and took some pictures of her. Delight will be posting those for you shortly.

BRITTNEY LOOK A LIKE!!!!!

Delight likes to have the lastest style!!!! She shaved most of her hair off this morning. She said it was bugging her so she just got the clippers out!! It's not all gone but it is very very short. She still looks BEAUTIFUL!!!

Delight came to work this morning and went straight to her office and shut the door. She is such a good girl!!

She looks really good and she said that she feels good. I ask her what she did all weekend?? She said she did laundry and just stayed around the house.
