ANOTHER DOCTOR???

Delight will be going to see Dr. Mirtsching in Dallas on January 7. (he is the doctor that Julie Fisher is using) He received all of Delight's reports and has some ideas of some possibly different treatments that he wants to share with Delight. He wants to talk to Delight and Terry Joe and tell them his thoughts. So be praying that his ideas will be something that will be helpful to Delight.

Her marker count had gone up to 111.4 the last week when she was at the doctor. It had been staying pretty much around 30.

Delight has a full schedule for the holidays. This afternoon they will be going to Walter & Tracy's to visit with Stacy & Christopher. Walter is going to be providing a delicious meal of sandwiches. I'm sure that he will be making his famous German chocolate cake to go along with the sandwiches. Right Walter???

Charmyrle and Wendell will be arriving at TJ & Delight's this afternoon. Delight is looking forward to them coming. I really think the main reason she is glad they are staying with her is because Charmyrle will be doing a lot of cooking and baking sweets. Then on Christmas day they are expecting 25 to 30 people for lunch. Charmyrle you better get busy!!!! I'm sure the house will be filled with lots of good food.

TOUGH NEWS

Terry Joe & Delight visited with the doctor today to discuss the scans that she took last week. The results were not good. There were a couple of new spots on the hip, a increase in the right lung, a small spot on the liver. The doctor said that the small spot on the liver was so small that he could not even test it to see if it was cancer. He asked her about her breathing because of the increase in her right lung. She told him that she wasn't having any trouble breathing. He told her that she will have to go and see a lung specialist if it gets to where she can't breathe. They may have to drain that lung. He was sort of surprised that she was able to work so regularly.

Delight asked the doctor if these spots were so small why was she having to take so much more pain medicine?? What is causing the pain?? He said that it could be a number of things..... it could be the side effects from the radiation.... it could be the bones rebuilding themselves. When she lays in bed at night a certain way it hurts. She showed him where it hurt and he thought for sure that was having to do with the bones rebuilding.

The doctor said that he would like to wait for a couple of months before they start back with chemo. He wants to wait and do the scans again in a couple of months to see if there has been any change. He did tell them that if they wanted to start the chemo up sooner they could if they were scared to wait. They would start it in January if that is what they wanted to do. This will be a different kind of chemo than she had been taking.

Delight is going to get a second opinion. Julie Fisher is going to fax all of Delight's reports to her doctor in Dallas. They want to see if he would be giving her the same kind of treament that she will be receiving in Texarkana. If he has a different idea Delight will go to visit with him.

They are really unsure of what the next step will be at this point. They will be checking with the doctor in Dallas soon. Right now they are just going to enjoy the holidays with their family and friends. Remember them when you pray.

BUSY BUSY BUSY

Delight has been feeling pretty good last week and this week. She hasn't slowed down a bit. She had all of her tests & scans done this past Monday. It was all day long and I think that she got pretty tired. Next Tuesday she goes to see the doctor to get the results. If they want to start chemo again she did say that she wanted to wait until after the first of the year so she can feel good during the holidays.

She will be having Christmas dinner at her house this year with all of her family. She is excited about having everyone over to her house. She assured us that she wasn't going to stress out over all the people that were going to be there. She is happy that she isn't going to have to do any of the cooking!!! Tonya and I went over last week to help her put up her Christmas decorations. She bought us lunch and we had a big time decorating her house. Come to think of it I don't think we ever finished our project. Maybe we better get back to that Christmas will be here before you know it.

Delight's hair is really growning. She's going to have natural highlights!! I think it is time for a new picture. Maybe we can work that in tomorrow.

SHOPPING TIL YOU DROP

After 2 days of Christmas shopping with Delight, Tonya and I decided that she held up better than both of us. Even though we were tired we had a good time and picked up several good gifts for our bank Christmas party. We all decided we had it harder shopping than doing our normal jobs. We also picked up a fireplace for the bank. It looks beautiful!! Tonya has put the festive touch to it and it looks great!!

December 10 they will be doing all kinds of tests & scans on Delight. She has an appointment with the doctor December 18 to go over the results. Whatever treatment they decide to do will depend on the results of her tests. She has said that she doesn't want to take any chemo until after the first of the year. She wants to feel good for the holidays.

Delight is at work today and is feeling really good today. Remember to pray for the upcoming tests results.

BUSY THANKSGIVING

Delight had a very busy Thanksgiving week. Jennifer & Blu left Thursday afternoon. They had a good visit. The Thanksgiving meal was down at Delights mothers house. I think they had around 30 people. She said they had a lot of good food. Delight enjoyed herself so much that she was unable to work on Friday. Early Friday morning she got a migraine. She was still really weak on Friday morning when she got up. She rested all weekend only getting out to go to church. She was able to make it to work today. She's not feeling her best today. Tomorrow we are going to do some shopping for the bank Christmas party. We are not going to leave her here... she has to go with us. She can't leave me to deal with Tonya by myself.

SAVE YOUR BOWS

Delight has had another good week. The only problem that she has been having is with her legs and feet hurting her. One reason for that is..... our little Delight has not been resting enough. She has been running around entirely to much!!! She is set on GO all of the time.

Delight is excited about Blu & Jennifer coming in. They will be in Friday night. Jennifer has to come and babysit her mother while her daddy is deer hunting!! They will be staying for about a week. I'm sure that Delight will have a lot of things for them to do.

I'm always glad to report that everything is going good for Delight. We have not had the time to put a ribbon in her hair yet. But it is coming. Check back next week to see Delight with a bow in her hair!!!! I think she needs a big orange one with a turkey coming out the top. What do you think??? She would be cute!!!

ANOTHER GOOD WEEK

Delight has had another good week. She has been working everyday and feeling pretty good. Her hair is still growing straight up!! Brian Shipp told her that her hair looked like a babies hair and all that she needed was a barrette. Delight said that she would put one in with honey. So maybe the next picture will be Delight with a barrette. She would be so cute. That same day Cindy Willis told Delight that Coach Coleman's hair and her hair looked just alike. So poor Delight.... she just loves all the attention that her hair brings to her.

Monday she will be going to Texarkana to get her bone treatment. Her mother is going with her.

She was just now leaving work. Terry Joe and Delight are going to their cabin for the weekend. Terry Joe needs to do some hunting and Delight needs to do some resting!!

GREAT NEWS

Just wanted to let everyone know that I didn't draw a pumpkin face on Delight's head. The only thing I could get her to do is put on a orange wig for a few minutes.

Delight has been feeling really good this week. She has had a busy week. She went to the twins Halloween party on Wednesday and then they came back to work with her. They dressed up Halloween night as rodeo clowns. They were so cute. Maybe Delight will post her pictures of them. Delight has a baby shower at her house on Saturday and then Thearon, Johnice, Jim and Vicky are coming over and cooking out.

Delight has received good reports from all of her tests. The bone density scan came back normal and requires no further treatment. Her yearly tests all came back good, too. She was excited to hear some good news.

I'm glad to say everything is going GREAT!!!!

SEE I TOLD U SHE HAS HAIR

Doesn't her hair look good?? I told u that she had dark hair mixed in with that gray. When we were coming back in after taking the pictures, I told her that I wished that I had some blue paint and I would paint her head and we could say that we had a visit from one of the Blue Men. Then I had the thought on Halloween that I could paint her head orange and I could make a funny face on top of her head!! Maybe I could win the pumpkin carving contest????

THE SPIKE LOOK

Delight has had a busy week. She has already made 2 trips to Texarkana this week. The first day she had her yearly exam and yesterday she had a mammogram and bone density test. She doesn't know any of the results yet. They will call her or send a letter about her results.

She is very tired today. She has been feeling pretty good this week. She is still having trouble sleeping at night. She couldn't go to sleep last night. So she sleep in this morning. She has been working everyday.

I haven't forgot about the picture of her hair. I told her yesterday to remind me to get the picture. Of course we both forgot about it. Maybe before the end of the year we'll have a picture posted. I'll tell you this much she is having a little trouble controlling it. It doesn't like to lay down. She has the spike look!! It looks good!!!

OVERALL FEELING PRETTY GOOD

Delight has been feeling pretty good this week. The only problem she has been having lately is with her feet and hands. Her feet usually always feel like they are asleep. Other than that small problem she has been good!! Sleeping at night has been about the same. Some nights she sleeps and some nights she doesn't.

Terry Joe and Delight went to Texarkana today for her treatment for her bones. This is a monthly treatment that she is having to take. They told her that it would help build her bones back. It is not supposed to have many side effects. One side effect could be that her bones ache. Last time that she had the treatment she didn't feel any different. She doesn't see the doctor until December.

Her hair is really beginning to grow back. At first I thought all she was going to have was white/gray hair but now I can really see the dark hair coming in, too. I'm sure she will not mind if I take a picture of her new hair growth!!! So be looking for a picture soon!!!

Sorry I haven't blogged this week. Delight and I talked and decided since she wasn't taking chemo and as long as she is feeling good that I probably will not be on the blog but maybe a couple a times a week.

Delight has been doing great!! She had a very busy weekend. Jennifer, Blu & Kaylee came for the weekend. Delight helped Reesha with a garage sale Saturday. The twins were in and out of mimi & papa's house all weekend, too. By the time she got to work on Tuesday she was tired but she was still going strong. She sure did enjoy being with her family.

Delight doesn't go back to Texarkana until next Thursday when she will have her monthly treatment to build her bones back up. She will not see the doctor again until December. If anything changes with Delight or the way she is feeling I'll be sure and post.

DELIGHT IS GOOD!!!!

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10. Hopefully it is going to remain a 10 forever. She has felt so good the past few days. Her hair is even beginning to grow back.

They have had fun with the twins this week. Delight has taken them to school the past couple of mornings. They are a mess. They didn't get to eat at Papa Poblano's until last night. The night before they did not want Papa Poblano's they wanted papa's fish. Which he gladly cooked for them.

Blu & Jennifer will be here around 8:00 tonight. I'm sure Delight will have a big meal cooked for them since she likes to cook so well. lol...

ANOTHER GOOD DAY

DELIGHT-O-METER is a 10 today. She is looking and feeling really good. She has really been working really hard this week and she is still going strong.

Blu & Jennifer are coming for a visit this weekend. Delight is looking forward to seeing them. She has a couple of shelves & a mirror that need to be hung. She's hoping she gets some help from Blu & Jennifer. I think maybe she needs some painting done, too.

Theron & Johnice went to go pick up the twins at school today. Delight just left to go pick them up from them. She thought they may need some relief.

Delight & I went to pick the twins up from school today in the INB's Money Car. They thought that was pretty neat. All kids seem to like to ride in the money car. They were just talking up a storm on the way back to Idabel. They are sure cute. They were going to keep their MIMI entertained this afternoon. Blayd was hoping to go and eat at Papa's for dinner. I'm sure they will get to if that is what they want to do.

"LISA'S KITCHEN"

The DELIGHT-O-METER is back up to a 10 today. Just talking to her today you could tell that she feels a lot better. She doesn't seem so draggy, she is her normal chipper self. She said that she sleep really well last night.

Lisa made Delight some lettuce wraps for their dinner tonight. We had to sneak in the kitchen and try one for lunch. (we had the best lettuce wraps at P.F. Changs when we were in Dallas) But I do have to say Lisa yours are the BOMB!!! You topped P.F. Changs!!! I think that we need Lisa's Kitchen in Idabel. All you need to serve is lettuce wraps and your wonderful sauce. Maybe you could also serve chips and Bettie's wonderful salsa!!! (if you never had Bettie's salsa---you have never tasted the BEST salsa in the world) You would have a wonderful business. Think about it.

GOING STRONG

Delight has been very busy the last few days. Thursday Delight & Charmyrle went to visit their aunt (who has lung cancer) in Claremore. They had a nice visit with them and then they went back to Jenks and spent the night with Jim & Vicky. They had a nice visit with them, too.

Saturday Terry Joe played in a golf tournament and she was able to go and watch him play for about 8 holes. She went and ate with him, too. But after that she was extremely tired. She wasn't able to go to church on Sunday because she was so tired.

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 9 1/2 today. She looks good but is just really tired.

WONDERFUL SEMINAR

Delight came to work today after we had our weekly lunch with our friend Karen Ray. Delight is still very tired. We almost wore the poor girl out yesterday. She stayed right up with us though. She wanted to stay for all of the seminar. I kept telling her we could leave any time that she wanted.

We heard some really good speakers yesterday at our GET MOTIVATED SEMINAR. It was a VERY long day. We left the hotel at 7:15 and went directly to the American Air Lines Center. We didn't leave until the seminar until 5:00. Some of the speakers we heard were Colin Powell, Brian Tracy, Goldie Hawn, Zig Ziglar, Steve Forbes, Avery Johnson, Phil Town, Tim Timmons, Bryan Flanagan, Peter & Tamara Lowe, Dallas Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo, Terry Fator---America's Got Talent Winner---(he is the best ventriloquist that you have ever seen), a guy that used to be the lead singer of Santana--- sang a song, and we heard a guy that did some rapping. There were a few more speakers, I just can't remember all of their names. We enjoyed listening to all of them but the ones that stood out to us were Colin Powell and Avery Johnson. Avery Johnson was the most dynamic to me. He was a AWESOME speaker. We all got motivated!!!!

We did finally get to eat Monday evening at the Cheese Cake Factory. (we had directions that didn't get us to the restaurant very easily) After we finally made it we were so full when we left. On the way home we stopped at a new P.F. Changs China Bistro in Allen. The food at both places was wonderful.

Overall we all had a GREAT time. We are PUMPED UP!!!

BUSY WEEKEND

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10 today!!!

She feels pretty good after a very busy weekend. Jennifer surprised her mom with a visit this weekend. Delight was very happy to see her. They took the twins skating and to Rilyn's birthday party Saturday afternoon. Jennifer also was able to go to church with Delight on Sunday. Delight was glad she came in.

Delight, Jane, Cindy and I are going to Dallas this afternoon. In the morning we are going to a Zig Ziglar Motivational Business Seminar. We are really excited. Colin Powell, Goldie Hawn, Avery Johnson are going to be speaking also. We are looked forward to eating at the Cheesecake Factory, too.

Guess I will not be posting again until Wednesday.

DISAPPOINTING NEWS

Terry Joe and Delight went to see the doctor yesterday and got some disappointing news. Her marker count was back up to 37. There was no improvement in any of the tests. Her CT scan of the abdomen & pelvis showed no change. The liver, spleen, pancreas and adrenal glands are unchanged. Her CT scan of the chest showed an increase in volume of small pericardial effusion in about 3 different places.

She will not be taking any chemo treatments for the next 3 months. Delight and the doctor both agreed that she needed a break from the chemo. This will give her body a chance to build back up. But she will be taking a treatment once a month to build up her bones.

Delight is really disappointed in the news she received yesterday. Please remember to pray for her. It's very important that we all encourage her. She needs us.

DOCTOR TOMORROW

Terry Joe took Delight out to eat at Papa's for their anniversary last night. She said that they would celebrate again when they go see the doctor on Thursday. They will be celebrating the anniversary and also the good news that the doctor is going to give them.

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10 again today!!!!!! She really did sleep good last night. But she was still a little sleepy when she got to work today. A lot of days she says that she thinks she could just sleep all day long. But she LOVES the INB so.... that she thinks has to come to work. Maybe it isn't the work. Maybe is because she wants to see all of the wonderful people that work here????? That's it!!!!! Right Delight???

She looks fantastic today. She feels good with the only thing bothering her is her left hand. It keeps going numb on her.

Delight's weekend was good. She watched Terry Joe and Johnice play 9 holes of golf on Saturday. Sunday she was able to watch all 18 that they played. She said that she really enjoyed getting to be outside.

Terry Joe will be taking her to the doctor on Thursday. She will find out if she can take a break from chemo. Let's pray for good news. She could really use a break.

GOOD DAY

Delight looks good and feels pretty good today. She just feels the normal tired that she usually feels everyday. She got a pretty good nights sleep last night.

SCANS ARE OVER

Delight just called to let me know that she was on her way home. She just finished with her scans. She was tired but she was making it okay.

She slept last night because she took a handful of pills!! She said that she was determined to sleep because she knew that she needed to be rested up for today.

I asked her if she had gotten anything to eat and she said yes. She ate a hamburger out of a wacky pack from her favorite place the Sonic!!!

That's about all that she said other than she did say that she would see me in the morning.

SCANS TOMORROW

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 9 1/2 today. She looked really tired to me this morning when she got here. She said that she didn't sleep at all last night.

Terry Joe and Delight went out on their Wednesday night date to Papa's last night. After the meal they went to check on Bobby Mixon and John DeWitt. She said that both of them were doing good. She said that Bobby had not had any trouble with the chemo or the shot afterwards. John seemed to have recovered from his stint. That's good news on both of them.

Delight is excited about being able to take her self to her scans tomorrow. She said that she would call me when she gets done. She wouldn't have any results, she would just call to tell me that she made it okay.

She just left to go home. She was going home to take a nap. Hopefully she is able to do that.

FEELING BETTER

DELIGHT-O-METER is back up to a 10 today.

Delight was at work before 8:30 this morning going strong. She looks good today and the only problem she is having is her back is hurting her.

She didn't get much rest yesterday afternoon because the twins came over to entertain her. Bracee has started dance lessons. Of course she had to show her Mimi some of her latest dances. Blayd is just happy to go outside with his papa.

Thursday she is going to take her scans. She is taking herself. She thinks she is perfectly capable. I guess I'll have to agree.

KINDA TIRED

Delight came to work for a little while today. She said that she was so tired that she could just lay down anywhere and sleep. The only other thing that was bothering her was her legs. She looked pretty good today but you could tell by the way she acted that she was tired. DELIGHT-O-METER is a 9 today.

She stayed at home and rested pretty much all weekend. She and Terry Joe went to the Warren Davis visitation on Friday night for a short period of time. Sunday she went for about 15 minutes to Tony Walden's (and his new wife) wedding shower. Other than those 2 outings she just rested.

When she left she said that she would see me tomorrow.

FEELING GOOD!!!!!

Delight called me this morning to tell me that she was feeling great!!!! She was on the way home from getting her shot when she called. She was excited to be feeling so good the day after chemo.

She said that she felt so good that she was going to come out to the Bank's fair booth and work with me. Friday is the day she and I usually work at the booth. But... my partner never did show up and I'm really glad because it was extremely HOT!!!!!!! She didn't need to be that HOT building. I missed her but her replacement worked almost as hard as she would have. (her replacement was my 5 year old nephew Browning) We had a good time!! Next year Delight I'll be expecting you to be sweating with me.

I didn't ask her her plans for the weekend. Maybe she can just stick around the house and rest.

CHEMO GOES OKAY

Delight called to tell me that she made it thru the chemo okay. She was down waiting on Johnice to come back and pick her up when she called. She sounded really good just tired.

Delight came by this morning to do a couple of things before they left for Texarkana. She was in good spirits and I ask her how she felt and she said good except for her legs hurt a little. She was ready to take her chemo and get it over with.

She said she would try to call me tomorrow and let me know how she felt.

CHEMO TOMORROW

DELIGHT-O-METER is holding on with a 10 today.

Delight sleep in this morning so she didn't come to work until after lunch. She looks and feels great today!! (she just needed a little extra rest this morning)

Tomorrow Johnice is going to take Delight for her chemo treatment. Hopefully this will be the last one for a while. Terry Joe will be taking her Friday for her shot.

Maybe she will feel like calling me on Friday.

BUSY WEEKEND

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10 today.

Delight had a really busy weekend. Everything went really well for her. The birthday party for her mother went good. She got to visit with her mom, sisters, brother, nieces and little Harley. She had a wonder visit with everyone. Sunday she went to church and then on Monday she rested at home.

She was at work bright and early this morning with a smile on her face!! She has been hard at it ever since. She looks really good and feels pretty good, too.

FANTASTIC NEWS!!!

Delight got a WONDERFUL report yesterday!!!!!

Her marker count was down to 26!!!! She asked the doctor what was normal and he said 26 was!!! Isn't this EXCITING!!!! Almost all the rest of her blood work came back normal!!!!

She has her chemo treatment on Thursday. The following week she will have a CT Scan & MRI Scan. Then on September 20 she will see the doctor to talk about scans.

Delight will be going to her mother's house on Saturday. Charmyrle, Darlene, Lindsey, Debbie, Alicia & Harley will be joining Delight & Walter for a belated birthday party for their mother/grandmother.

If she can make it Sunday she plans to go to church. Maybe just rest the remainder of the day. Monday she just plans to rest at the house.

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10 today!!!!!!!

I was excited that Delight wrote on the blog yesterday!!!! I know that everyone was glad to hear from her. She said that she really enjoyed it. I tried to convince her to do it every day but she said that she didn't want to hurt my feeling by taking over my job. (like I would be crushed) I'm sorry I guess you are stuck with me. Maybe on occasion she can pop in and say HI.

Other than her feeling tired today she is doing pretty good. She looks great!!

Tonya will be taking Delight to the doctor tomorrow. Tonya thinks that she needs to go to pick up somethings for the fair. They are liable to get into trouble since they will not have me along to chaperon them. Maybe I need to reconsider and go with them. I would hate for them to get into trouble.

Anyway, I'll let you know what she learns from the doctor when I find out.

Long Day

Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!! I know you can't believe it's me. Kaye had to leave early today. I'm tired to and thinking about going home. The twins and I had a nice time at Mother's. Blayd and Bracee also had great time at Uncle Walter and Aunt Tracy's with the girls.

I would like to thank everyone for the prayers, food and rides to Chemo. I couldn't do this without you and my wonderful husband T.J. I will see the Doctor on Thursday just a check up. T. J. and I had a wonderful weekend with Jim and Vicky. We also went by Chris and Stacey's (Walter's son and his wife) to see their new home. They have a wonderful home in Conway. I love everyone dearly and please keep me in your prayers.

EXCITING WEEKEND

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10. She came to work today feeling pretty good. She looked a little tired to me. But she was able to stay most of the day. She was going to go and see her mother this afternoon. Today is her birthday.

They had a wonderful time with Jim & Vicky this weekend. She said that they ate good food and shopped a little. She came back with a new cute purse that Vicky said she didn't like. She was proud of her purse!!!

She said she started getting tired half way through Alan Jackson's part of the concert. He was the last to perform. Overall they really enjoyed themselves. Glad you had fun Delight!!!

SPECIAL WEEKEND OF REST???

Delight took today off to get some rest and relaxation. She did call me this morning to let me know that she was feeling great!!! She sounded like she was having a blast!!

Terry Joe and Delight had some business to take care of in the Tulsa area. So, Jim & Vicky are taking good care of them this weekend. One of the places that they are taking them to is to see a Alan Jackson & Brooks & Dunn. Sounds like fun!! Vicky why didn't you get tickets for all of us??? Do you think that TJ & Delight are special??? Hope all of you have a GREAT time.

BACK UP TO A 10

DELIGHT-O-METER is 10 today!!!!!!!! She was feeling a lot better today. She looked really pretty today, too!

She had to go to Dr. Salyer's office today for routine blood work. She doesn't have to go to Texarkana this week. Next Thursday she has to go to visit with the doctor.

She left work a little while ago. She said that she needed to go home and take a nap. I think that sounds like a good idea. I better go home, too.

FEELING BETTER

Delight was able to come to work yesterday but she was still tired and her stomach has started bothering her this week. It is like it is burning. It really doesn't matter what she eats, it still burns.

Today she also was able to come to work and looked a WHOLE lot better and felt a lot better than she has all week. We were able to go to lunch at the Methodist Church without any problems. Her stomach seemed not to be hurting quite as bad. She had a call into her doctor but they didn't return her call. And they closed at noon for the day. She left work a few minutes ago to go home and rest. She said that the backs of her legs were killing her. She said that they felt like she had been running in a race.

EXTREMLY TIRED

Delight came to work today but she is sure not feeling very well at all. She was able to go to the twins birthday party on Saturday for a little while. She said that they had good time. Yesterday she didn't go to church but was able to go to the services for WF with Peggy. Delight was glad to see Peggy and said that she looks good and is doing great.

The DELIGHT-O-METER is down to a 8 1/2 today. She is extremely tired and her legs are killing her.

Delight left work shortly after 12:00. She said that she was just totally exhausted. Maybe she can get a little rest at home.

ROUGH DAY

This mornings trip to Texarkana was very rough on Delight. When Thearon & Johnice picked her up she was not feeling well at all. She had a migraine headache. Johnice told Delight that she would stay at the house with her but Delight insisted that she had to go on to get her shot. So they did. She did not talk because she just felt bad. She even got sick in the waiting room. They came straight back home after she got the shot. Johnice was going out to the house this afternoon and sit with her.
I never did hear anything else from Johnice.

Say an extra prayer for Delight this weekend. She needs all the prayers she can get.

CHEMO DAY

Delight left for her treatment today at 11:15 with Sheila driving. I talked with her before she left this morning and she said that she was feeling pretty good. She was able to sleep until about 9:00 this morning.

Johnice and Thearon are taking her in the morning for her shot.

Delight enjoyed her visit with Andrea & Carol last night. We all hated to hear about the loss of their dad. Dad's are pretty special and I know that they will miss theirs tremendously. We are thinking and praying for you & your families.

ALBINO???

Delight was at work before 8:00 this morning!! She told me that she had been up since 2:30 and just couldn't sleep. She is looking good again today.

Yesterday she was showing me that she was beginning to get eye lashes and eye brows. I had to feel of them because I couldn't see them. They are totally white. We think maybe she is going to be an Albino?? She said that she didn't even care as long as she had some hair. It doesn't matter hair or no hair she is still a beautiful person inside & out.

PARTY GIRL

Delight was at work early again today even though she had a busy weekend. She was able to attend both parties on Saturday and even made it to church on Sunday.

The only thing that is bothering her now is her shoulder. She had asked the doctor and he said possibly it was from the radiation??

Thursday she will be taking another chemo treatment.

She came to work today bright and early, and is still working at 3:30 and said that she was still going to be here for a while.

Delight has felt really good this week.

She has a busy weekend ahead--Wilburn Stevenson's 80th birthday party tomorrow. Also scheduled for tomorrow at area C at the lake is a BIG birthday party for the twins. If anyone would like to come they are welcome to come at 2:00.

GOING STRONG!!!!!

DELIGHT-O-METER is still at a 10 today!!! She is looking and feeling GOOD again today.

She was able to sleep in this morning so she was later coming to work than normal. It is 4:00 and she is still at work and still going strong!!!!!

She had the birthday club at her house last night and really enjoyed having everyone out to see her house. She still would like to paint some walls in her kitchen. It takes alot of time to get everything done that you would like to do in your house. You can always find things that need to be done but not always the time.

DELIGHT-O-METER is soaring with a 10 today.

Delight LOOKS and FEELS GREAT today.

She got a good report from the doctor yesterday. Her marker count was down to 31. Her blood work was all good. The doctor said that she was doing great!!

She will have another chemo treatment next Thursday.

She celebrated with the twins last night at the Pizza Hut. Yesterday was Bracee's birthday and today is Blayd's. They are 4. They are getting ready to start pre-school soon.

RESTING

Delight had a very busy weekend. She went to Tony Walden's wedding, church on Sunday, and a visit with the twins Sunday afternoon. She used all of her energy this weekend because she was unable to come to work today. She got up thinking she was coming but after her shower she had to go back to bed. We haven't heard from her since.

DELIGHT-O-METER has gone down just a little to 9 1/2. She looked good but the batteries had gone down on the energizer Delight.

Delight came to work late today because she said that she wasn't able to go to sleep last night. She had to get up and take a sleeping pill. When she finally went to sleep she slept until 9:00 am.

She left work a little while ago really draggy. She has been that way all day. They were going to a wedding tomorrow she was hoping to feel better or she was afraid that she wouldn't feel like going.

DELIGHT-O-METER is holding on strong at a 10.

Delight is at work going strong and looking great again today. She made the comment today at lunch that she better slow down a little before she over does it. We all agreed that she needed to take it easy and rest more. Do you think that she will slow down any??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FEELING OKAY

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10 today!!

Yesterday Delight came to work not feeling well at all. She just came to pull some reports for examiners. She went home before lunch.

This morning she came to work feeling a whole lot better. She looks really good and rested. Even though she said she was up at 2:00 am. She said the pain medicine wears off about that time. She got up and took a bath and took some more medicine.
Another problem she is having is with her mouth. She has blisters on her tongue and a lot of spicy things that she eats bothers her. She is really being careful about what she is eating.

Delight wanted me to thank Lisa and Cindy for the meals that they brought Friday and yesterday. They tasted really good to her.

SHE'S FEELING GOOD!!!

Delight came to work today!!!! I was excited to see that she felt well enough to come to work the day after she had her chemo!!!

Cindy took her to Texarkana this morning to get her shot. So when they got back into town she thought she would just come to work. The examiners had some questions that they needed her to answer.

She said that this may be one of those times when the chemo doesn't make her sick. I hope that is the case.

CHEMO DAY

Terry Joe took Delight for her chemo treatment today. She looked really good this morning. I ran out to her house and talked to her for a little while before they left. She said that she felt good.

Yesterday she had another good long day at work. She left around 2:30 because she had a couple of extra helpers staying with her. They are such busy little kids. They are so cute. Bracee had her hair french braided and Blayd was just smiling and talking.

Tuesday afternoon she went to Paris with her sister Darlene. Their sister Debbie was in the hospital at Paris. They have now moved her to the hospital in Dallas. Hopefully they will find out what is the matter with her.

Delight has had a very busy week. It doesn't seem like she has slowed down any. She just keeps on going and going and going.

GOING STRONG!!!!

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10.

Delight has been working today and yesterday like she isn't really sick. Maybe she isn't!!!! She has been able to stay all day the past 2 days.

Friday she had a good visit with her friends from Foreman. They enjoyed themselves by the pool.

She didn't feel good on Saturday. She stayed in the bed most of the day. Sunday she rested, too, because she knew that she wanted to be able to come to work the first part of this week. We have bank examiners this week and she knew that they would be covering her job and she wanted to be here to go over any questions that they might have.

Thursday she will be taking her treatment. Terry Joe is going to be taking her.

SEEING OLD FRIENDS

DELIGHT-O-METER is barely holding on to a 10. I almost gave her a 9 1/2. She looks good today but she feels really tired. She came to work fairly early today because she was trying to finish a book up for the examiners. She needed to leave work at noon because she was going to meet up with some girls that she went to high school with in Foreman. She said that around this time every year they all try and get together. We went to lunch and she was going to go home and take a nap before she went to Foreman. I hope she felt strong enough to go because she was really looking forward to seeing her high school friends. I think that's all the plans she had for the weekend. Maybe she will be able to rest up for her chemo on Thursday!!

SCAN RESULTS

Delight called and said that the doctor wants to do at least 3 more rounds of chemo. He will check her again after that to see what kind of improvement has been made. Her marker count is at 33. Last time the marker count was 32. The lowest it has been this time is 30. Her scans showed a slight improvement.

She sounded okay with having to do more treatments. I'm sure that she was hoping for a break but maybe she will be able to after the next 3. The next one will be next Thursday.

They were going to head towards Idabel after one more stop.

TEST RESULTS TOMORROW

DELIGHT-O-METER is still at a 10 today.

She didn't come to work until after lunch today. She said that she was just getting around slowly this morning. She said that it was our (Tonya & I) fault. We went to go check on our friends at the Paris hospital, Harvey & Mary Ann Harmon. She thinks that we kept her out to late. Okay let me tell you we had her back in Idabel at 7:40 last night. She had enough time to rest. Don't point the finger our way.

Delight will be going to see her doctor tomorrow to get the results of her tests. Terry Joe will be taking her to Texarkana. When I hear some results I'll post.

FEELING GREAT

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10 again !!!

Delight looks and feels great today!!! Her legs are not hurting her near as bad as they were. Her back isn't hurting her at all. I'm glad to see that she is feeling better.

We have posted some of our Florida pictures. It took Delight and I both working on them to get them posted. Anyway we will get some more on soon. Words just cannot describe how beautiful that wedding was on the beach. I think the water was the prettiest water that I have ever seen.

DELIGHT-O-METER ON THE RISE

THE DELIGHT-O-METER is back up to a 10. She had a big day Saturday at her mother's house and then she was able to go to church on Sunday. She is still having some pain in her legs and her lower back. She came to work bright and early this morning to help get the examiners taken care of. She has stayed here all day long. She is finally leaving just now at 3:30.

She will find out Thursday about her scans. I'm sorry again about not posting on Friday. I did work Friday but just completely forgot about posting. Anyway we had a good time Thursday taking Delight to get her scans. Tonya & I shopped while Delight was taking her tests. We picked her up and went to eat lunch. She was tired so we came back to Idabel pretty soon after we ate. She was tired all day---she had to get up so early!!

SCANS TOMORROW

DELIGHT-O-METER is remaining at a 9 1/2 today. Delight looks good today but she doesn't feel so great. Her legs are still bothering her. She met us for lunch today and came to work after we had lunch. She didn't last long at work---she needed to go home and rest.

Tomorrow she has to be at Texarkana at 8:00am to take some scans. Tonya and I are taking her. (if Tonya can get up that early) Since we'll be in Texarkana we'll be picking up some things for the bank, too.

So I'll not be posting tomorrow. She will find out the results of the scans next week.

FEELING BETTER

Delight is feeling much better today. She came to work a lot earlier today than yesterday. She even felt like going to lunch with us today!!

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 9 1/2 today. She looks really good. The reason I'm not giving her a 10 is because her legs are still really bothering her. She didn't sleep much last night due to her legs giving her fits all night. She said that she was up several times and took a couple of baths to try to relieve the pain. The shot that they gave her Friday raises her white blood count up to high. When the count goes down to normal the leg cramping seem to ease up a little. Hopefully it will be back to normal soon. Hang on Delight!!!

Delight felt like coming to work today only for a short time. Her legs are really bothering her. She looked really tired today. One of the reasons maybe from lack of sleep, she was unable to sleep last night. I think that she over did it yesterday. She went to church, Wal Mart and did some laundry. She said that she felt really good and it was hard not to do everything.

Friday after she got home she said that she slept the rest of the day. Saturday she slept the whole day. So Sunday she was ready to go!!

Anyway she has gone home to rest.

SHOT DAY

Terry Joe took Delight this morning to Texarkana to get the shot that she gets the day after her chemo treatment. She wasn't feeling good today when she woke up. She woke up this morning with a migraine headache.

They were headed home and she said that she was going home to go to sleep. So she won't be coming to work today.

CHEMO DAY

Delight has a chemo treatment today. Linda DeBerry is taking her. She isn't going to come to work today.

Terry Joe & Delight went to see Foghat last night with Rick & Tonya. Tonya said that they had a good time. Tonya also said that Delight went down to see her mother & Walter yesterday.

I still haven't had time to write about the Florida trip. Someday......I'll get to it. Let me just tell you one little thing, it was one of the prettiest weddings I've ever seen. The setting was just beautiful. The water & sand was just absolutely gorgeous. Pictures are coming your way soon.

WE'RE BACK

Just a quick note to let you know that we are back. All safe and sound.

We had a WONDERFUL time.

Delight felt SO good on the trip. She made every step we made.

She was tired on Monday so she didn't come to work but she made it today.

DETOUR!!!!

GUESS WHAT??? WE HAVE ARRIVED IN FLORIDA!!!!!!! WE ARE ALL STILL ALIVE!!!!!! WE HAVE HAD NO FIGHTS YET!!!!! WE MADE IT SAFELY AND HAD LOADS OF FUN!!!!!!

Delight made it just fine!!!! She made it better than the rest of us!!!!

We stopped to eat lunch about 1:00 at Purvis, MS at the Movie Star Restaurant. It was very good food the only thing is that we didn't get to see any Movie Stars. I don't know how any of us could have been hungry because we had half of the Wal Mart Food section in our vehicle. We started out with a homemade breakfast from Cindy. After that we had fruit, candy, party mix, cookies, cheese and crackers. We did have to make a couple of restroom breaks,too.

THE REAL FUN START WHEN:

We missed a turn in Hattiesburg, MS. (That caused to go at least a 100 miles or more out of the way) After that wrong turn we were 28 miles from New Orleans!!!! Anyway we were glad that we made the wrong turn because we were able to tour the coast line and see the devastation from the hurricane. We went thru Gulf Port & Biloxi Mississippi. The beaches were beautiful and the sand was so pretty and white. (Delight took some pictures and when we get back we will post them) The damage to the houses, buildings and trees was unbelievable. There were a lot of lots with for sale signs on them.
Some houses and businesses have been built back and there are a lot that are in the process of being rebuilt.

We finally arrived around 6:15 at James & Velda Campbell's house in Century, FL. We were sure glad to finally get here.

Velda was kind enough to let me get on her computer!!!

Anyway we are off to Destin for the wedding tomorrow. The weather has been nice. It didn't rain on us at all. We are hoping for pretty weather tomorrow.

Maybe I'll be able to post again before we leave.

LOOKOUT FLORIDA

DELIGHT-O-METER is looking good at a 10 today!!!!

Delight is feeling great and ready to leave for Florida in the morning at 5:00a.m.
This is the last thing I'm doing today before leaving so it is going to be short and sweet.

Delight came to work today to wrap up the things she needed to do before the trip. She just completed her work and said she was headed home to pack.

We were so glad to hear that Harrison Shipp is okay after his wreck last evening. It is a miracle that they didn't get hurt any worse than what they did. Brian & Lisa got the phone call that every parent dreads.

If I can find a computer somewhere along the way, I'll try to post. If not I guess I'll be posting on Monday.

EVERYTHING GOOD!!!!!

She came to work today and has worked about 3 hours. She was able to get quite a bit done.

We are getting excited about the trip. Tonya is still trying to convince us that she needs more than 1 bag. But we aren't going for it. Delight said that she would rent half of her suitcase to her. She is sure thinking about it.

RESTING UP

Delight called me this morning and said that she probably wouldn't come to work today. She said that she didn't sleep at all last night and she was going back to bed this morning. She said that she needed to be rested for the trip!!!

She was able to go to church, Wal Mart & Cato yesterday. Other than feeling tired she said that she has felt good all weekend. She isn't in any pain just tired.

GOOD NEWS

Delight looks so good today. She feels good, too. She went to lunch with us and just came back with us to work a while.

The doctor gave her a good report yesterday. He told her that she could go to Florida and to have a good time. She just needed to rest and take it easy. He said that after the next chemo treatment that they would be doing some scans. If everything looked good she would not have to take any more chemo. They would start doing a monthly treatment to help build her bones back up. Her white blood count was back to normal. Everything sounds GOOD!!!

SORRY

I woke up at 12:00 last night and realized that I forgot to post on the blog. Go ahead and fire me from this job. I think I could be easily be replaced. At least Tammy let you know that Delight felt good yesterday.

We picked Delight from her house yesterday on our way to lunch. She came back to work with us and was able to stay until around 3:45. She looked and felt a lot better yesterday.

Delight goes to see the doctor today. Her appointment is at 2:45. Terry Joe will be taking her. They will be seeing the doctor along with them doing her blood work. Last Thursday Dr. Salyer's office checked her white blood count and it was high. Hopefully today it will be down some.

This time next week we will be well on our way to Florida. We are trying to convince Tonya that we have limited space. She is limited to 1 bag. She doesn't like that. She wants to take 1 bag of just shoes!!! Before the trip is over she maybe tied to the top of the Suburban. Delight will have her choice of seats. She can either have the back seat to lay down or she can have the co-pilot seat next to me. We will be taking a lot of pictures so we can post them. It is going to be a fun trip. We made this trip about 5 years ago and I can't tell you how much fun we had. It had to be one of the best trips of my life. We will miss Johnice, Mary Ann and Sherry. But at least we will get to see Sherry at the wedding. We told her she could at least ride back with us!!! I'm sure Delight, Tonya and Jane will be just as much fun as the first group that we had. I'm sure you will be hearing more over the next few days about the trip.

Dinner at Papa's

I had dinner tonight with Delight and TJ at Papa's. Delight is looking wonderful! It was some great food and and even better company. Life is good.

BACK AT WORK!!!

Delight was able to come to work for a little while and go to lunch with us today. Her hands and feet are really bothering her. Her hands looked like they were just peeling. She was trying to keep lotion on them. She still was feeling extremely tired today. She left work about 1:40. She looked pretty good today. To me her eyes looked a little weak.

She told us today she had so many bosses!!!!! We just want her to take it easy!!!

Delight wasn't able to come to work today. I talked to her a little before 10 and she was just getting up. She was planning to come to work but I guess she just didn't feel like it.

I talked with Terry Joe around 3:30 and Delight was in the bed sleeping. He said that she just hasn't felt good at all today. She told him that she was just tired.

Delight made it to work again today!!! She was able to sleep until about 8:00 this morning with only waking up a couple of times last night. She looks really good today and feels okay. But she was getting really tired around 3:00 and decided she better go home and get a little rest before her company gets into town.

We went to Papa's to celebrate Jane's birthday at lunch. The only thing Jane didn't get to wear the hat. They were so busy I guess they forgot to bring it out. Next time Jane!!

Jennifer and her family should be in town around 6:00. Delight is looking forward to them so much. She has been talking about what her and Kaylee were going to be doing. I'm glad she is feeling good so she can enjoy her family!!

AT WORK AGAIN

Delight made it to work again today!!!!! She looks good but she said that she is really tired. She is going to go home and rest today after we eat lunch.

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10 today.

She said that she slept good last night. She went to bed around 9:30 and slept until 8:00 this morning only waking up once. She is only taking pain medicine in the morning and when she gets home from work. She doesn't have to take any pain medicine at night.

Sorry I forgot to post yesterday!!!!

Delight has been doing so good since her treatment Thursday. She has been working every day and feeling good! The only thing is that she is very tired at the end of the day. Who isn't??

GREAT NEWS

Delight was at work this morning by 8:15!!!!!!!! She said that she was up at 7:00 this morning. DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 10 this morning!! She looks GREAT!!! She told us this morning that this time hasn't been near as bad as the last treament/shot.

Delight had a busy weekend. Vicky Bailey came in and stayed with Terry Joe & Delight. Theron, Johnice, Darlene and Lindsey stopped in for a visit. Wendell & Charmyrle stopped in, too. They all got to watch the twins and their daddy do tricks on the slip & slide. I heard they put on quite a show.

Delight was even able to do all of her laundry yesterday!!!

Delight had to go to Texarkana again today to take her shot. She was hoping to be able to skip the shot this time but they wouldn't let her.

Sheila took her this morning. Sheila told me that Delight was feeling good. She said after Delight got her shot she felt good enough for them to make a couple of short stops. They were back in Idabel around 11:30. When they got back to Idabel Delight told Sheila that she was tired and ready to go lay down. I just called Terry Joe and he said that she was asleep.

Delight beat me to work this morning!!!! I was so excited to see her car here so early!! She looked so pretty this morning that I had to take her picture. But.....I can't get them to downloaded. Sorry. I took several pictures of her but she deleted all but three. Maybe I will have time to work on them later. I'll try to get them to post.

She felt really good today so I must give the DELIGHT-O-METER a 10!!!!! She left work to go home and eat around 10:15. She wanted to be ready for Lisa, who was picking her up around 11:45 to take her to chemo. Lisa was going to try and get beautiful while Delight was taking her chemo. Do you think it is possible?? She was going to the beauty shop for a cut & color and who knows what else??? I doubt she will be as pretty as Delight but she may be close.

Please continue your prayers for Delight. God is answering them. Delight was much improved today!!!!

THINGS ARE LOOKING UP!!!!!

Delight is feeling a whole lot better today. She was able to go to lunch with us and she came to work after lunch. She said that she is beginning to get tired but she needed to finish one thing to get in the mail before she left.

She has decided to do chemo tomorrow. They told her that she could wait a week and then take it but she decided she would just go ahead and get it over with tomorrow. Because..... we are planning a trip to Florida at the end of the month and she wants to feel like going. We are looking forward to going to Kimberly & Clint's wedding in Destin. A beach wedding will be beautiful. About 5 or 6 from the bank are going on a wild girl trip. Last time we went we had a blast. We think this trip will be lots & lots of fun also. I'm looking forward to Delight being my co-pilot. I always need help driving. I could not ask for a better co-pilot!!!!!!

PRAY FOR DELIGHT

Delight was able to come to work again today for a short period of time. She said that she got up at 7:00am and it took her about 2 1/2 hours to get ready to come. She just has no energy what so ever. She told me that she could just lay over on her desk and go to sleep. She kept saying to me that she was just so tired.

Please remember to pray for Delight. She needs all of the encouragement that we can give her at this time.

Thanks to everyone that has sent food to Delight & Terry Joe. That is just one less thing that they have to worry about.

NO MORE CHEMO

Delight was able to come to work for a little while. She is EXTREMELY tired today. She has already left to go home. She took some of her work with her.

Saturday I went to pick her up and we went to Kimberly & Clint's wedding shower. We only stayed for a little while. Everyone was excited to see her and wanted to find out how she was doing. She was glad that she got to go.

Delight said this morning that she will not be taken any more chemo until she gets to feeling better. She doesn't feel like her body can stand anymore right now. I'm glad because she needs to get to feeling better.

Judy prepared some food for Delight and Terry Joe yesterday. She asked me to go with her to take it to them. They had just arrived home from the doctor when we got to their house. Tracy and the girls had also brought them some food. It looked like Thanksgiving in June at the Eidson's.

She was really upset with the doctor because of his lack of interest. He had other things on his mind when he was visiting with her. He acted like he really didn't give a care and that he had other places to go. So she really didn't get a lot of answers to her questions.

While we were visiting with Delight we noticed that she had a unexpected little visitor. A mouse seemed to want to join in our conversation. The only thing....it wasn't being very social, it ran under the frig. Judy got the yard stick, I got the broom and we were ready. It came out all right but it was a little quicker than we were. It ran under the dishwasher. Judy tried and tried to get it to come out. The twins came in during our chase and they were so excited. They thought they were going to get to see a mouse! They wanted to see it so bad but no luck. Still at this moment it is hiding from Judy and her wicked yard stick!!

Delight has felt better today than she has all week. She was able to come to work for about 4 hours this afternoon. We were really glad to see her because she helped resolve some computer problems that we were having.

DELIGHT-O-METER is at a 8 1/2 today. She looks good. She just doesn't have any energy.

DOCTOR 2:00PM

I called Terry Joe this morning and he thought Delight rested a little better last night. She hasn't been resting good at night. He said that she gets up several times a night and gets in the bathtub to try to relieve the pain.

He said that she was getting around slowly this morning.

Her appointment with the doctor was 2:00 today. I asked him to call us and let us know what the doctor said.

FEELING BETTER

Tonya & I went out for a short visit at lunch today. She said that she was feeling much better today. She thinks the reason why she hasn't been feeling well is due to her sinus problem. It has moved down into her chest. Dr. Salyer gave her some antibiotics yesterday. She looked really good to me. Her color was good and she talked & laughed with us. The only thing is she doesn't have much strength.

She has an appointment with Dr. Engstrom tomorrow. Terry Joe will be taking her.

Terry Joe just called to report to us that Delight wouldn't be able to come to work today. He said that she hasn't been dressed or out of the house all weekend except for when she thought she had to got to Wal Mart last night. She only lasted about 10 minutes and then she had to go to the car.

He has a call in to Dr. Salyer this morning about her sinus problem.

If anyone needs to talk to Delight please call Terry Joe on his cell phone and he will get her the message. 286-8941. She is not feeling well enough to talk right now.

THINGS ARE LOOKING UP

Delight has managed to stay at work all day today!!!!!!!! She is very tired and needs to go home but...........she will not leave. She is so stubborn!!!!!!

SO SLEEPY

Delight didn't come to work today until after she had her blood work done. She said she really didn't want to come she just wanted to go home and go to bed. She feels very tired. But she looks so good today!!!! The only thing that keeps me believing that she is sick is the fact she has no hair.

The DELIGHT-O-METER is staying at a 8 1/2 today. I told her what I was going to put the meter at and she said that high?? I said yes because you look so good.

I'm always glad to see her come to work. She needs to come because we need her to be here with us. She WANTS to come she just told me. Anyway she has been her a couple of hours and she has worked all she can. She is going home.

FEELING BETTER

Delight was able to come to work today even though she didn't get much rest last night. She looks really good but is still weak. I was glad to see her today!!!

She doesn't have to go to Texarkana tomorrow for her blood work. Dr. Salyer's office is going to be able to do it for her. I'm glad they are able to do it. That will save her from having to drive.

She was able to go eat with us today at lunch. Everyone was glad to see her out and about.

She went to the Masonic Lodge last night to pick up her check and have her picture taken with them. They told her that her fund raiser was the biggest one that they had ever done. They gave her a check for $3,000.00. Thank you Idabel Masonic Lodge for all of your hard work!!!!! They did a wonderful job.

She was able to get her massage yesterday. It was WONDERFUL!!!! It felt so good to her. It was so wonderful that she scheduled another one next week!!! She said that it made her feel so much better.

She just left work and I told her that I hadn't even finished her blog today!! She told me I better get busy and get it done.......so she is feeling better!!

SLEEPY & TIRED

Delight decided not to come to work today. When I called her this morning she was still asleep. She called back in about 30 minutes and said she was so tired that she could hardly wake up. She is supposed to get a massage at 3:00 today. She is hoping to still go do that. Tonight she is supposed to go to the Masonic Lodge and get her picture taken and pick up her check from that fund raiser.

SHE'S HERE

Delight came to work today feeling really draggy. She is having to take several pain pills. After I dropped her off Friday she said that she slept the rest of the day. She slept all day Saturday. She was able to go to church on Sunday but that really tired her out so she rested the rest of the day. She did say that the pain this time is nothing like it was last time. (it is not near as bad) The pain is mostly in her right leg.

DELIGHT-O-METER is going to be at a 8 today. She looks really good...but just doesn't have much energy.

SHOT DAY

I just got back from taking Delight to get her shot. This morning when I picked her up she said that she was very tired and sleepy. She slept on and off on the way to Texarkana. After she got her shot she wanted to go look at some shoes Lisa had told her about. Since she is having trouble with her legs and feet she has to wear comfortable shoes. We went to the mall and she was able to get her a pair of the sandals. Hopefully, these sandals will help. We had a couple more short stops and then we stopped at Chick-fil-a. Then back to Idabel. Delight went home to take a nap and I headed back to work. She seemed like she felt better coming home. Maybe she can rest this weekend.

TREATMENT DAY

Delight had to leave work a little earlier than she expected yesterday. She got to feeling bad all of a sudden. Last night when she called to tell me she wasn't coming to work today she sounded a lot better. I think she just needed to go home and rest. Everyone knows how Delight is.......she just wants to keep going and going and going without resting.

GOOD NEWS

Delight called around 5:45 this afternoon with GREAT news from the doctor. Everything had shrunk!!!!! Her marker count was at 30.3. (down again) Her white blood count was normal. The doctor wanted to know if she was up to going on with her treatments?? Of course she said!! He still would not give her an estimate on how many more treatments she would have to take.

Tomorrow I will not be around to post. Sorry. I have given you enough GOOD news today to last you until Monday.

We are proud of you DELIGHT. You are the GREATEST!!!!!! Keep up the good work!!! You can beat this sickness.

TODAY----- TEST RESULTS

Delight didn't come to work today. She over did the past couple of days at work. She has been on her feet almost constantly. So this morning she stayed home and slept. She said that she went to bed last night at 10:45 and didn't wake up until 10:00 this morning.

She is supposed to be at the doctors office this afternoon at 2:20. She will be finding out about her CT & MRI scans. I think she had a lot of questions for the doctor today. They will also be doing blood work, checking her white blood count.

Jennifer & Blu are coming in Saturday morning for the weekend. Delight is looking forward to them coming since last time she wasn't feeling so well.

After I talk to Delight this afternoon I'll post. It maybe later than normal, but I'll get some information posted sometime late this afternoon.

GREAT NEWS!!!!

DELIGHT-O-METER is back up to the top with a 10 today!!!

Delight was at work this morning at 7:30. I was so glad to see her this morning looking and feeling so much better!!! She look GREAT. She said that she started feeling better Saturday. Sunday she was able to go to church and to Wal Mart. She was cleaning out closets Sunday and about over did it. I guess she was feeling so good it was just hard to stop working.

I'm so glad to report she is feeling so much better. This is just a answer to all of our prayers!!! Keep them going her way.

TESTS WERE ROUGH

Delight called and said she was feeling okay. She was going to try to come to work around 12:00 but she has not made it yet. She has developed a cold. I tried to encourage her to stay at home and rest.

The scans that she took yesterday took a lot out of her. She was unable to take any pain medication until the test where over. She said it was rough. As soon as she got done with the tests she was able to get something to eat and take her medicine. She slept all afternoon when they got home. She had a good night last night. She went to bed at 9:30 and she said that she didn't wake up until 8:00 this morning. That's the first good rest at night she has had in a long time.

Delight will be getting the results from the tests next Thursday.

GOOD NEWS

Delight is at work today looking GOOD!!! Her legs are still bothering her really bad but overall is feeling a WHOLE lot better!!

Everyone was so excited to see her smiling face. She still didn't get a lot of sleep last night. She has been up since 4:00am. She was hoping getting up out of the bed and out of the house would make her feel better.

I still haven't talked to Delight. It's about 2:30pm. I'm not going to call again and bother her. I know that she would have called me if she felt like it.

We were out eating at lunch and we saw Terry Joe. He came over and said that he was picking up them some food. He said he wasn't for sure how she was feeling because she was still in the bed when he left.

Anyway that's all I know. We are going to start taking food again, at least until she is feeling a better. If you are interested in taking food contact Tonya at 286-7656. Her home phone is 286-1102. She will be keeping up with the schedule. We don't want them to be overloaded with to much food at one time so Tonya is going to be keeping the schedule. Thanks, Lisa, for cooking tonight. I called to talk to Delight just now and Terry Joe was home. Delight was sleeping. He said that she got some different pain medicine and he thought it helped with the pain but it kept her up all night. He didn't know how she felt this morning because she was still asleep. He said he would call and let us know when he found out something.

ROUGH WEEKEND

Delight had a really rough weekend. She was unable to sleep Friday or Saturday night due to her legs bothering her. Sunday night she found a sleeping pill and took it. Since she stayed in the bed the majority of the weekend she was unable to enjoy her company. She really was disappointed that she didn't feel better. The Neurontin (pain medicine for her legs)that she is taking doesn't seem to be working.

Tonya and I went out at lunch to take her a sandwich. She was watching TV laying in the recliner. She did eat her delicious pimento cheese sandwich!! We ask her if the only thing hurting was her legs and she said yes. She has a call into the doctor to see if he can give her something else for the pain in her legs. I just called and talked with her and she had to call back to the doctor's office because they hadn't returned her call. She told her problem to the chemo girl and she was going to get with the doctor and get back with her. Hopefully, they will be getting back with her soon.

Thursday morning is her CT Scan & MRI. They should be able to tell from the CT Scan if they are giving her the proper treatment and how much longer she will have to be taking treatment. She wasn't for sure about the MRI. She did say last time she had one it showed exactly where the cancer was on her hip. She wasn't sure what they were going to be looking for this time with the MRI.

Say a couple of extra prayers for Delight today please.

ANOTHER CHEMO TREATMENT DOWN

Delight called to tell me how she made it yesterday. The treatment went really well. She said that she feels a little tired today. Last night she didn't sleep. Her hands and feet were bothering her. She said that the tingling that she has felt in her hands and feet has moved into her arms. She has some medicine that she is going to start taking to help relieve some of that pain.

She had just taken her shot when she called and is now on her way back to Idabel. She decided not to come to work today. She is going home to rest. She wants to feel good for her company this weekend.

GEARING UP FOR CHEMO

Delight decided she would take it easy this morning and not come to work. When we talked on the phone she had just warmed Blayd some waffles. She had been watching tv, too. She was going to pick Terry Joe up at about 12:00 and go on to Texarkana. The treatment will last around 1 1/2 hours and she said she would call me when she got done.

She is looking forward to seeing Blu, Jennifer & Kaylee this weekend. The weather has been so beautiful that they hope to be able to play outside with the kids.

I will post this afternoon again if I hear from her before I go home.

WAKE UP CALL

DELIGHT-O-METER is still holding on to a 10.

After I called and woke her up this morning around 7:30 I didn't know for sure how she would be feeling coming to work so early facing a bunch of computer problems. The little storm we had last night had caused our electricity to go off. Anyway, it wasn't long before she had the problems resolved.

Terry Joe will be taking Delight for her chemo treatment tomorrow. Tonya will be taking her early Friday morning for her shot. She told Tonya she needed to be back to work before 10:00 on Friday. Tonya said she could make a fast trip. Tonya you can't go to IHOP. (sorry) Please stay off the road Friday morning if at all possible, Tonya is on a mission.

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT

DELIGHT-O-METER is rocking on this morning at a 10. Delight is looking and feeling good this morning.

Since Delight has been taking radiation & chemo she has been trying to park as close to the side door of the bank as she can. She has been coming in later and at times there's not a parking spot. Even though employees have been told not to park in these certain parking spots some don't always think that they have to abide by the rules. Last week Delight came in the front door and Tonya ask why she came in that door? She said that there were no parking spots. This made Tonya so upset that people weren't being considerate of Delight. She found a catalog that had street signs. She went and showed them to Brian and ask if she could get one and have it put up for Delight. He just laughed and said yes. So...you can see Delight standing by her new sign. I think she likes it. MAYBE she will have a parking spot when she gets here now.

DOCTOR REPORT

DELIGHT-O-METER is 10!! Delight felt really good all weekend. She watched Terry Joe play in the golf tournament both Saturday and Sunday.

Dr. Trane released Delight and she doesn't have to go back to him anymore.

Dr. Engstrom said that her white blood count was normal. Her marker count was down from: August 2006 the marker count was 17. January 2007 the marker count was 54. April 2007 the marker count was 33. The count is down 40%, which is very good.

She will be taking chemo & avastin this week. She will be taking it once every 3 weeks. Treatment time will be about 1 1/2 hours. Delight did ask the doctor if he knew about how many treatments she would have to take? He said at this point he has no idea.

She has a CT scan scheduled for May 3. She is waiting on them to schedule a MRI around the same time also.

A SCARY NIGHT

Delight called early this morning to tell me that they spent most of the night in the emergency room. Blayd got a piece of chicken lodged in his throat. They worked and worked and could not get it to go down or come up. When they got him to the hospital they x-rayed him to find the piece of meat lodged at the entrance to the stomach just at the end of the esophagus. She said that it was extremely difficult for him to breathe because he was constantly gagging. The hospital decided to air lift him out to the Children's Hospital in OKC. The first helicopter that got here was to small for Cydne to ride with him. They decided that they just could not let him go alone. So they called for a bigger helicopter. It was coming out of Greenville. It was on its way when a red light came on and it had to go back. Finally, they got another one out of Tulsa. It was on its way when Cydne noticed Blayd breathing a little easier. She asked if he could be x-rayed again. They said yes if you could get him to drink some more barium. After a while, Cydne finally got it down him. The x-ray showed that the chicken was gone. What a great miracle! The medical staff on the first helicopter had stayed the whole time because they knew how to handle the problem, since the hospital staff was not equipped. About 1:00 or 2:00am they admitted him to the hospital for the night. Delight said she was able to get a little rest but was up bright and early this morning. She will not be coming to work today. Bracee spent the night with her last night.

Terry Joe and Delight will be leaving around noon today. She said that if she got out of the doctors offices earlier enough she would call.

Keep the Eidson's in your prayers. Pray an extra prayer for them today.

Update on Blayd from Uncle Walter: He went out to the hospital at 9:00 and they we getting ready to dismiss him. He said he looked really good and was acting like he felt fine.

EARLY BIRD

I wonder if she found the worm this morning? Delight made it to work this morning before 8:00am. I was in shock!!! I'm always glad to see her smiling face when she gets to the top of the stairs.

DELIGHT-O-METER is still holding tight to the 10. She looks good and is running around here like the place is on fire!! The energizer bunny is on the loose. Everybody better look out!

Just wanted to report Tonya's granddaughter arrived into the world at about 6:32pm. Josie Brooke 7lbs 1oz and was 20in long. She also came with a head full of black hair!! Jamie and little Josie are doing well. Tonya said that she looks just like Brock but she said the other side of the family said she looks like Jaden who looks just like Jamie. Anyway, whoever she looks like she is bound to be beautiful!! I can't wait to check out the new little chick!!
